Cocktail Sausages

Who loves cocktail sausages? You’ll also love this super simple, quick vegan version with very few ingredients.

Servings : 18 cocktail sausages

Ingredients

  • 6 vegan hotdog sausages, cut into 3 pieces (I used Yves sausages)

  • 9 pieces of vegan bacon, cut in half lengthwise (I used Lightlife foods’ bacon)

  • 18 toothpicks

  • 1 cup (250 ml) maple syrup

  • ¼ cup (60 ml) water

Preparation

  1. Roll each piece of bacon around a piece of sausage and hold using a toothpick.

  2. In a non-stick skillet, pour the maple syrup with the water and bring to a boil. Add the sausages, lower the heat and simmer. Cook 5-10 minutes. If the syrup thickens, add a little water so that the maple syrup doesn’t turn into taffy.
