Homemade Dog Treats

My dog is my baby. So for Christmas, I always prepare a Christmas stocking for him, just like the other children! To garnish, tennis balls, toys and homemade cookies!

Prep : 10 min

Cooking : 12 à 20 minutes

Servings : a dozen cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana, mashed (I used a unfrozen banana from the freezer)

  • ½ cup peanut butter (the most natural possible, with the least added sugar)

  • 1 cup ground flaxseed

  • ¼ cup whole-wheat flour

  • ¼ cup chopped peanuts

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees,

  2. In a bowl, add banana, peanut butter, ground flaxseed, flour and peanuts. Mix until well combined and a dough is formed. If dough is too thick, add water; if too liquid, add flour.

  3. On a floured surface, roll out dough using a rolling pin or with your hands and use a cookie cutter to make treats.

  4. On a baking sheet, place the cookies and bake for 12-20 minutes, depending on the size of the cookies, until crisp on the edges and firm to the touch.

  5. Let cool before serving.
